eek

I think I may be losing my mind.

it's 10am. I've been here for 4 hours already. There's daylight outside, I'm sure of it .. I just haven't been allowed to see it lately.

It's the day before Christmas. I'm the only person working in the entire building. With two exceptions. The senior-discount rent-a-cop on the front desk, and my co-worker, who was last seen heading for the restroom about 90 minutes ago. Unfortunately I'm a well-trained monkey. We guarantee a two-minute response, 24/7, so I can't leave my desk to go see if he's dead or just lost.

But that's not the kicker.

Downstairs, is one huge factory floor, which is no longer in use ,and is definitely not staffed. And they've left the radio blaring christmas tunes around the cavernous void.

Which I can barely hear. I'm never quite sure one moment to the next whether I can hear it or not .. or whether my mind is shafted.

love it.

merry christmas ya lazy gits

update:

just a nap. he's alive :)

update:

there's a big switch downstairs. a large, industrial looking thing on a clear plastic case that lets me see very heavy gauge wiring within. Like it's designed to carry some pretty hefty current.

Anyroad .. it has over the front, a label reading 'do not operate'. How very, very tempting.

Wandering around the factory floor in near darkness is very very interesting. They have those emergency lamps .. a box with a battery and two spots, that comes on if the power goes. The red lights that tell me these things are receiving power is the primary light source for all the parts of the factory floor I'm not meant to be playing in. fun fun. especially with pink floyd on the PA.

I've been awake far too long. my grammar is aweful. and I can't get the phrase 'DAY I GOT COOKIE' out my head.
